DOTS - Asset Tagging Services

High quality tagging of drill pipes and other DSE's (Drill String Elements) requires a set of proffesional tools and knowledge about the mounting process and the design requirements from the manufacturer.

Every approved RFID tag installed into a drill pipe by Trac ID Systems, or a Trac ID certified partner, is guaranteed to meet the requirements from drill pipe manufacturers in relation to drill pipe integrity and operation. Our quality assurance process covers the whole chain from slot design, machining and mounting of the tags to final verification.

For minor volumes (up to 500 pipes) , we can provide mobile tagging on the yard or in a storage facility. For higher volumes, we recommend tagging by one of our certified partners during a regular pipe inspection cycle.

New pipes can be ordered with a pre-machined tag-slot. Please contact us for details about necessary specification etc.
