TAM - Field Operations

There are several areas where RFID technology can be used to streamline and improve current inspection and/or maintenance processes of fixed equipment. Trough the integration of RFID transponders into traditional TAG-signs or other identification areas (intelligent tagging), the individual assets can be identified electronically and the latest available information can be retrieved whenever necessary.
By offering field access to the operators on advanced PDA’s, tailored for the inspection and maintenance functions, new possibilites for process optimization and integrated operations are enabled. With integration of the asset management system with ERP systems and process control systems, a wide variety of functions may be offered:

Identification of asset/equipmentPresentation of active work orders associated with the assetAccess to relevant information associated to the work order (technical information, check lists, simple drawings etc.).
