TAM - Warehousing

In the upstream Oil & Gas industry, where even the smallest delay can lead to expensive consequences, offshore operations are depending on accurate information about their equipment, shipments and arrival of the necessary parts while the onshore operations need to make sure that the right equipment is available at the right place, at the right time.

Almost every day, massive volumes of expensive equipment is moved between differend offshore and onshore locations to make sure that the necessary equipment is available when needed. During this process, each individual asset has to be registered at arrival and departure and during handling to keep control of inventories and actual availability of the equipment for the necessary operations. In many cases, unnecessary high inventories at multiple locations are compensating for the lack of control, to assure availability. At the same time, expensive equipment is unusable due to missing information about certificates, specification and condition.

TAM - Warehousing is a configurable software module based on ruggadized handheld PDA 's (Personal Digital Assistant) equiped with RFID readers, and middleware responsible for filtering and proper data handling. Through integration with existing logistics and/or ERP system, TAM facilitates execution of the necessary business processes in an easy, automated and qualified way right where the assets are physically handled. Examples of such processes are:

  - Registration of asset receivement
  - Assets movements between locations
  - Create deliveries
  - Assign equipment status
  - Create picking lists
  - Inventory
  - etc.

TAM's mobile architecture, supporting communication between the handheld PDA and the server software via WiFi, GPRS or docking, makes it easy to be distributed across different locations both onshore and offshore.
